Due Diligence Investigations documenting "all appropriate inquiry" are a specialty of the Avendt Group. Using proprietary methods to expedite comprehensive Phase I and II Environmental Assessments combined with over 40 years of site investigations for more than $25 billion of potential acquisitions results in the Avendt Group personnel completing rigorous and detailed due diligence investigations on a timely and cost effective basis anywhere in the world. The due diligence documentation packages prepared by the Avendt Group are readily integrated into risk analyses, financial reserves, indemnification provisions, certified disclosure statements and remediation schedules. Expert witness testimony and exhibits have been incorporated into environmental liability insurance, stop-loss policies, judgments and settlement negotiations for numerous multinational corporations.
Consent Order Obligations are at best negotiated compliance and or remediation activities subject to the regulatory agency oversight, critical schedules and stipulated penalties. The Avendt Group personnel have worked with corporate management and legal counsel to provide detailed work plans, critical path schedules, budgets and the necessary consultant team to assure compliance with numerous state, federal and foreign environmental regulatory agency Administrative Orders by Consent. The management of reporting obligations, cost accounting, liaison with regulatory agencies, allocations between other potentially responsible parties, chairing technical committees, coordination of consultants and remediation contractors and overall project management are demonstrated areas of expertise provided by the Avendt Group.
Site Remediation activities including comprehensive site assessments, mandated remedial investigations / feasibility studies and site remediations consistent with the National Contingency Plan for cost recovery are provided by the Avendt Group according to established budgets and time schedules. Previous site remediation projects have included soil and groundwater contamination with metals and chlorinated solvents, interim source control, plume recovery, asbestos abatement and historical land disposal. The Avendt Group has also remediated numerous private properties subject to accidental chemical spills, wind borne lead contamination and illegal dumping of hazardous wastes.
